Everyone's accurate about the M50 swap... It's been done to-hell, so there's plenty of help for you out there, it's fairly reliable and with a simple cam and bolt on's.. you're easily up to 230HP. Omer has a good point about the Z3 2.8 motor (aluminum block), but only up to 1998. The U.S. 3.2L M3 motors are all (even the coupe & roadster) cast iron blocks. I didn't feel the weight difference in my car (excluded the A/C system) and added a 130lb roll cage to the rear half of the car to offset the balance. I have absolutey NO PROBLEMS cornering on the track and actually enjoy the four wheel drifts.
