My M42 runs past straight up to three quarters. Is this normal? I have a new fan clutch. Anyone using water wetter with any success? What about a reduced T-stat temp setting?

Prior to buying my 1988 325is, the previous owner had had a new radiator and water pump installed, and I have never seen my temp. gauge pass the 1/2-way point - including ambient temperatures in excess of 100F, and speeds in excess of 80MPH. Hope this helps. Steverino4
