Here is what you do. Even though I took the whole drive train out (which I firmly believe is easier than doing the clutch alone in car.), my experience can help you. After you remove the drive shaft as I described in a different post down a few lines, remove the transmission support bracket (two 8 mm bolts, using 13 mm socket). It will drop the transmission (by tipping the engine up) and make enough room at the top so you can remove the bolts you want to remove.

But if you have access to a lift, I seriously recommend taking out the drive train. You'd have pin point control with the lift. Plus no more busted knuckes or strained neck. Most of all, all the open space with the engine on the stand, a sheer joy.
