ok so I know I'm bit with the bmw bug, but seeing an 84 318 forsale locally for $600 listed in the paper I couldn't resist... called the guy up... he told me it had a rebuilt engine and the chassis had 220k miles on it. The car needed a paint job because it was primer grey. I went to look since a new project could be fun and I don't think my lowered 325is will do well in the snow... and what do I find... a poor condition 318 with a bent frame from an accident. I was able to drive the car, but it was impossible to go straight... go figure... here's a copy/paste of the ad...1984 BMW 318i.2 Door, good reliable transportation.5 Speed. $600.00
I don't know what "good reliable transportation" means, but some people are sick! The guy then tried to pressure me into buying it saying that all these people want to buy it from him just cause it's a bmw...
people in Western NC... scary bunch.
sorry... just had to vent...
The sad thing is that some unsuspecting person will buy it...
thinking that it is a good deal...
that they finally bought a BMW...
then in the end get stuck with a lemon...
and the problems associated with it.
What comes around goes around.
