I have a 1988 325is with 171,700 miles on the clock. The car is in great shape in and out, but I was recently told by a BMW mechanic that my guibo seal is badly cracked. He told me is not dire, but I should replace it soon. Has anyone else dealt with this? He quoted about $450. Any help would be great!

I was just quoted $300 at the dealer for replacing mine, yes the dealer..$450 seems high, they replacing anything else? KENL
