Alright, the service light is on from its normal 4 green to one yellow, one red. Now, the timing of the change takes about one oil change. Is that what it is for? I was told by a BMW mechanic (non-dealer) that it was time for my 325is to have an inspection that could run as high as $350!! I am thinking, is this right?? Before I moved last year, the place I went always reset my light, but this place won't unless I do the inspection! What is the time interval between inpections? Is $250-350 an average number for this process? I am running out of patience with the mechanics in my area because I hear different things from everyone. Can someone with knowledge in this area give me something viable to go on?? Thanks.
