They are supposed to be calculated by driving style, os they could be sooner or later. That "Inspection" means it does indeed need an inspection. If you are going to do the Inspection 2 schedule that is in the back of your owners manual then $350 is cheap. If you follow these inspections like the car was stil under warranty then it will last a long time and not let you down.

If you prefer to live dangerously then you can reset the service light by jumpering 2 pins on the engine test plug in the engine bay. There are instructions on www.bmwe30.net.


DO change the timing belt every 50-60k, or else you wont have a car.
