84 325e wiring troubleshooting/ No spark! (archive)

I need as much help as I can on this car. It was given to me as a gift so that I could fix it and give it to my daughter.It is a 84 325e with a rebuilt engine,I am having a very difficult time with the wiring and even though I have a Bently I still can't seen to figure it out. Is there anyone with experience in troubleshooting electrical systems on these cars please email me and I will reply with a phone # to make contact.

One quick question, should the ignition coil have power on both of the terminals? This seems a little strange to me.
