How much do you wanna spend? (archive)

if you want the best job for the least amount of money. remove all the plastic moldings, mirrors, bumpers, door handles, door locks, tailights, front and rear windshields, basically anything that would otherwise be masked off by a paint shop. anytime something is painted up to masked off rubber and plastic, it will start flaking off in no time. Silver and black looks best to me, but black has to be perfect to look right. White is the most forgiving paint. The best comprimise would be silver, but it looks tacky when you have different color door jambs and engine compartment. If i was you I'd stick with the original color unless its brown or orange.

I'm about to get a 1987 325es, and i think i will repaint the whole car. Anybody have any suggestions on the color, and also how much would it be? thanks in advance.
