we tried a kit that was very similar to what Modern Perfomance is offering. It was made by another company which shall remain nameless. the test car was a 1988 M3. The MAF conversion did great during the fall and winter months, but as soon as the weather got a little hotter and more humid, the car would constantly run lean from about 6500 rpm all the way to redline...not good at all. Ive heard the Split Second kit is an absolute pain, as it basically requires fine tuning the fuel curves every time the weather changes. i talked to 3 or 4 people with E28 535i's that had the Split Second kit, and they all said the same thing - stay away unless you want to tweak it every single day.
