I noticed a shimmy in the seat of my '87 325is at 20 to 25 mph. I thought that it was a bad carrier bearing so I installed a new one, along with a new guibo, and trany mounts. It made it worse!!! I understand that the stiff rubber parts would transfer the shimmy more, now it does it at about 45 to 60mph along with the 20 to 25 mph shimmy. Any other ideas on what this could be? The u-joints have no play in them. The rear seal on my trany looks bad could the bearing also be bad, and making the shimmy? Thanks for you help,

jay '87 325is

could it be the motor mounts? If it vibrates lot even at idle it is. Im about to replace my control arm bushings because ive been advised they causes a shake of the steering and dash at freeway speeds , which is what i have been suffering from.
