'87iS is exactly the same has one from a '90iS. The reason i ask is because i have tried to fit an OBC from a '87iS to my non-OBC '90iX and noticed that i have a few connections that go to nothing. How come? Also when i turn on my lights, the OBC stays the same. It does not come on? Does this mean that the light in the OBC is bad or did i forget a connection? Also, i see that i cannot use the built in alarm? How come? Thanx for all of your help in advance guys.

Oscar,

On the OBC- the coding plug MUST match the Black box brain. Get the manufacture dates correct- same year is OK. Some plugs that are not connected, are for models outside the US.

Zach
