While detailing out my 1989 325i I noticed that I had marks - water droplet outlines to be exact - on my windshield.

I have been unable to remove these marks with the usual glass cleaning supplies (Windex/ammomia/soap/dish washing detergent)....any suggestions?

Back in the early 80's they used to sell Glass Wax that worked great but I have not seen it in years.....

Thx in advance
RM

Try "Cook Top" cleaning cream. It's used to clean glass cooktop surfaces...works great to remove the water spots but takes a little elbow grease. You can find it in hardware stores and most grocery stores.

Would that Cook Top stuff work on water droplet outlines on the actual body of the car??

It has a mild abrasive in it that works well on glass and won't scratch the glass surface, but it will most definitely scratch a painted surface!
