Thanks, and I know what you are talking about now, but I've never had a BMW with this much stuff wrong with it, but heck I couldn't complain about the price. It's a way different beast than the 735i I had.
The ABS sensors are what I am talking about though. I figured that the diagnostics up on the roof were for pad thickness and the ABS ligth on the dash was something else, I must have mis spoke.. SO I guess I am needing new ABS sensors at the very least is what you are saying? Thanks for the help
The brake pads have nothing to do with your abs light. There is a a brake lining light that comes on when a pad sensor is cut or touching the rotors when the pads wear out. The amber ABS light is related to the speed sensors at each wheel. Also it is normal for the check light to flash until you step on the brakes once after every start. The system can't check brake lights until you make them light up.
