I was plagued with this problem for years, noy wanting to take the time to follow through with recommendations. The next thing to replace is the brake light switch. That solved my problem.


I've posted this twice before, but it doesn't seem to get posted:

The brake warning light keeps coming on in my '89 325ic. It usually happens after usinbg the right turn signal. I've replaced the bulbs with BMW ones, emory-clothed the socket, etc.

Is there a way to defeat this alarm?
