I have been having starting problems with my 87 325is and my first guess is that the cold start valve is malfunctioning.. That and also a small of raw gasoline when it starts. The only problem is that I cannot seem to find it. On the 318, it is located on the side of the intake plenum, but for the is, it only has a vaccum plate with a hose leading towards a dashpot actuator on the front right of the block... If my car does not have a cold start valve, what would you recommend checking out first to solve this problem? Thanks for any help you can offer! John C.
