Can someone pls give me info about drilledout cats (archive)

I was told i had a drilled out cat. and the guy sez that a drilled out cat lead to a bad Os sensor, hence why my car is running rich... now my questions are:
1: is this true or BS?
2: i have a BAVAUTO chip in my car: is it functioning properly w/o an Os sensor???
3: what should i do about my cat? it looks all new from the outside but sounds like crap. should i further drill it out? how much is one of those sports cats?
