Funny automatic transmission gear change (archive)

Hi,

Here goes. When i start up the car up after it had cooled right down and drive off (quite slowly) my automatic transmission doesn't shift from stage 1 to stage 2 (as it once did) until it hits about 5000rpm. After it makes this first shift the transmission works as normal. Anyone have idea as to why.
