Opinions needed for soon HID conversion (archive)

I am doing an HID conversion probably in the next month. This means I will have to convert my sealed beams. I am not sure whether to buy full out ellipsoids or whether to just replace the lowbeams with the Hella H4's. I would prefer the Hella's because they are cheaper (mom and dad are harping about future costs of college and how i need to save money). Will the projection pattern with the HID bulb's be just as good as with the ellipsoids as it will be with the H4's? I have noticed most, not all but most of the cars with HID's use some sort of projector headlamp like the ellipsoids. Any imput would be wonderful!
