: 318ti's that are club sports are E36's not E30's, so they look like a regular E36 with their back end chopped off but they do have some M badging. Confuse our cars with those again and we'll have to take you out back and beat you. ;-) Only kidding of course, who knows what the heck you saw.

Sorry, sorry... like I said, I'm ignorant about the E30's. :) It was definately a pre E36 car. Thought I'd read something on the UUC digest about a 318. Anyway, I've looked at some E30 M3 pics - this thing had MUCH wider fenders and I think I remember small M badges on the sides... never seen anything like it.
