: i am looking for a lancia delta integrale. if you know of an importer, please tell me. if not an m535 sounds pretty tempting. over here in california they are quite common and fair priced. if i can't get the lancia, i settle for the 535. thanks
: : : i have a question regarding purchasing another car. i have an 89 m3 and would like to put as few miles on it as possible simply because i love it and want it to last forever. i was wondering, i am looking for a daily driver to have in addition to my m3 and was wondering what a viable alternative would be. driving excitement should be considered, so should practicality. i my m fulfills all of these standards, but i don't want to drive it every day (track and canyon carving only). i was thinking of a 914 2.0 liter, or an alfa romeo gtv6, maybe even a 2002. anything european. or should i just get another e30 m3 and have one for track use and another for daily use?
: : I use my M535i on a daily basis. I can think of few cars which are as cheap to buy and run (cheap parts and if you're gentle will give near 30 mpg)but offer this kind of performance.
: : I wouldn't get a 2002 as a daily driver if you have to do a significant mileage. I love them but we're talking about 30 year old technology.
: : The Alfa wouldn't even come into my equation - where I live (West coast of Scotland!) the thing would fall apart in about 2 weeks !!!
: : Oh and by the way , I wouldn't get a Saab either.
: : Why? because basically they're shit! I know - we just sold our 9000 CD Turbo (thank god!)Fast? yes.
: : Just don't try going round bends in one. Fast bus!
: : Nice seats though!
: : Good luck

: : 2002
Seems we have very similar taste SW !!
Keep thinking about Integrales as well! Don't know that much about them yet - I have heard you can have a lot of electrical problems?
Lancia always suffered a bad reputation for rust here in the UK in the past - but I think they solvedthis a long time ago. Back in the mid- eighties I owned a Beta Coupe - great handling little car. Rust wasn't a problem but the engine was a bit fragile and just fell terminally apart in the end and as a student at the time I didn't have the money to fix it.
If you test drive one please let me know what you think. Which model are you thinking of?
