Timing chain/ Re-shimming (archive)

Does anyone know what the clearance should be for the shims on an evo 2 E30 M3, I'm replacing the timing chain and thought this would be a good time to re-shim if necessary but I can't find any manuals which tell me, also does anyone know if there is anything special that need to be done when replacing the chain compared to other engines.
