Today the battery of my '89 M3 was flat, so i asked my cousin to help me with his E30.
After the car started I noticed that the rev counter wasn't working, but i thinked that could be a bad electrical connection.
To charge the battery i left the car at idle for some 10 minutes. Then i saw a big cloud of water steam. I turned the engine off and open the bonnet. A lot of water came of by a small pipe.
I think that the cause for this complete mess was some kind of electrical problem that didn't leave a water valve to the radiator to open. Is this possible?
Did the engine suffer something? What could be the soluction?

Thanks in advance
