all hell breaks loose.it depends a lot on how fast the motor is spinning when it breaks at a minimum it will bend valves at approx $80 each + head work, as a max the head of the valve can break off and punch a hole in the piston or cylinder head ,not a pretty site.expect to pay about $1000 parts and labor for replacement.the job can be done with motor in car ,remove pan &front cover and valve cover and replace all components,its a good time to install a oil pan baffle while its off.
