Good! - though I thought it was the integral of the torque vs rpm that you want to maximize. In any case, optimum shift points are well beyond the torque peak because it is torque AT THE REAR WHEELS that matters and you lose a bunch due to gearing when you shift up.
For an M3, I would guess that redline is best but you probably won't notice shifting a few hundred rpm sooner and your engine will last longer.
