: just a question- did the evo air box come stock on all 89s?

: : I'm running a TMS chip on a stock 89 M3 (Evo air box came stock on mine) and I ran a 14.45 @ 95 mph. Smoother idle, more low end, and better gas mileage. Best $225 I ever spent.

It is my understanding that the 90 and 91 models came with the Evo box (different bottom). The 88 and 89 had the older style.

Now a 14.45 in the quarter mile would indicate your car is nothing close to being stock. Hell a stock US E36 M3 can barely do a 14.45 even though the magazines specify a 14.00 for that car.

I do agree though, a TMS chip aka Conforti chip aka Jim C chip aka Sharked, is the best out there.
That's just my opinion and experience of course.
