I just did mine. Not too difficult but makes a swell mess on the floor. I also did my hoses because, well, because. The old ones were ok but I figured if I'm going to be in there anyway, what the heck. The only real challenge is removing the fan. Remember that it is threaded backwards. I used a Park bicycle headset wrench, which fit perfectly. I also used BMW coolant, largely because everybody has said that it's the stuff to use. Sheep that I am, I went with what the crowd said.

I used a very light coating of RTF on the gasket and pump. No leaks to date.

Good luck,

: I am replaceing my water pump and flushing the system. Does anyone have any tips or know of any pitfalls when doing this job?? Any other parts that I will need? What kind of antifreeze should I use? Thanks
