Just to add another variable into the equation(ie in addition to control arm bushes etc...) is that you can have an incompatibilty between the discs/rotors and the some pad compounds so that when a certain temperature is reached under braking uneven contact occurs leading to erratic braking and hence wheel wobble or shimmy.
