Allow me to correct myself- the stage 3 head is $2499 from Tuner. You don not need a head kit, but why use a stock head?
: I am planning to do such a mod in the future. It is my understanding that if you go with Turner (as I am planning to do) you will need to purchase a head kit- stage 1, 2 , or 3 . The prices for the head kits range from about $900 to $1300. I know a guy who went with Turner for the 2.5L rebuild and got a stage 2 head. He said it hasn't given him any problems and he has about 260 hp. Another company- Korman offers the same thing (www.korman.com) I heard from European Car magazine that they do good work. They have been around for a while so I imagine that is true. Personally, I haven't even considered Dinan. Their rebuild doesn't seem to produce as much horsepower as you could get with Turner. Good luck.

: : NO ONE HERE HAS STROKED THEIR M3 NOR THOUGHT ABOUT IT???
: : I'm trying to find out what my options are for stroking my M3 motor to a 2.5L. I know Top End offers a kit, and so does Turner Motorsport. Does anyone else offer a kit? Dinan offers a built motor, but I have PLENTY of building experience, and would rather not pay an insane amount of money for someone else to do the work that I enjoy. Dinan, aside, which kit is the best? Has anyone here done the conversion, and what are your experiences? Am I better off piecing the parts together and using maybe a Dinan chip for the conversion? Price-wise, the Turner kit is the best at about $2200. Any help would be greatly appreciated, TIA!
