In my experiance things like this always work out for the better. My first E30 M3, a White and Black '90, ended up having frame damage, and some really tweaked suspension (Which the seller didn't disclose, Insert long list of obscenities here) So needless to say the car was really squirly and didn't like corners at all. Then I got a '91 Mr2 Turbo. This thing was a great car, and it was in absolutly perfect condition, that is until some moron decided it would be a good idea to run a red light and smack my rear quarter. The car has been fixed drives great again and has found a good home, it is being made into a show car. :) This was about six months ago that the car was hit, and I sold it in early Dec. So I was driving around in mostly an '86 325 ES, and an E36 M3 for a while. So after these tragic incodents, I'm driving around in a fully Dinan built '88 M3 w/ about 300 HP. So it seems things have worked out for the better. Fate is an odd thing. The right car will come along and grab you.

Good luck,

Brian

: ...and guess what? the guy sold it to someone else who came up from London late last night!
: It was a diamond black very standard M3 1989 but with a genuine (as far as I could see!)29,000 miles on the clock. It was in absolutely mint condition (truly!).

: I went all the way down to Southport on Saturday and agreed to give him the asking price of ten grand (he wouldn't come down a penny). I offered to give him a deposit with the rest on collection tomorrow night. He wouldn't take it and said some 'motoring journalist'was also trying to get time to come up and see it during the week.

: I spent a lot of time and effort getting the money sorted out quickly with the bank (who were most helpful)and what does the f**ker do? - leaves a message on my answer phone this morning after 9 O'Clock telling me he sold the car last night! Well I suppose I hadn't quite booked my train ticket to go there yet ..so that was good!

: You know what? (I know it's sour grapes) but I hope the car f**cks up big time - unfortunately I don't think there's any chance it will!

: Seeing this car and missing it by less than 48 hrs after agreeing to buy it has kind of put me off looking for a while now.

: How are you enjoy your car?

: Cheers
