: ...and guess what? the guy sold it to someone else who came up from London late last night!
: It was a diamond black very standard M3 1989 but with a genuine (as far as I could see!)29,000 miles on the clock. It was in absolutely mint condition (truly!).
: I went all the way down to Southport on Saturday and agreed to give him the asking price of ten grand (he wouldn't come down a penny). I offered to give him a deposit with the rest on collection tomorrow night. He wouldn't take it and said some 'motoring journalist'was also trying to get time to come up and see it during the week.
: I spent a lot of time and effort getting the money sorted out quickly with the bank (who were most helpful)and what does the f**ker do? - leaves a message on my answer phone this morning after 9 O'Clock telling me he sold the car last night! Well I suppose I hadn't quite booked my train ticket to go there yet ..so that was good!
: You know what? (I know it's sour grapes) but I hope the car f**cks up big time - unfortunately I don't think there's any chance it will!
: Seeing this car and missing it by less than 48 hrs after agreeing to buy it has kind of put me off looking for a while now.
: How are you enjoy your car?
Hi Derin,What a complete tosser!!!imagine letting you drive all that way, then you offering the asking price and the the f*****r turning it down!!!I reckon that someone heard about the car through the grapevine and offered him more. The b*******d must have no heart!I could'nt do that and if he did do it for more money then he's agreedy w*****r as well as a heartless one.B******D.
I'm getting on great with mine, the more I drive it the better it gets. It's one of these cars that when you buy you wonder what all the fuss is about, but after a few days driving, and one dry Sunday afternoon alone in the car myself, you know waht these cars are all about. The dry weather grip is fantasic and the engine winds up a treat and is a pleasure to keep at high revs.Well I hope you have more luck with the next possible M3 purchase and if you need anything give me a shout.I'll pop through soon and return your books(read cover to cover thanks)
