I almost purchased a 325is. I decided on the M3 instead. Maintenance is more, but it is worth it in my opinion. Anyway the most cost effective performance upgrades, in my opinion, are a chip (I have a TMS chip) and a lightened flywheel (here I have an Evolution flywheel). My 0-60 times are around 6.1 or so, but I don't know of that is entirely accurate because I haven't dynoed it, I used a G-Tech.
: I am currently debating whether to get an E30 M3 or a 92-3 325is. I have noticed that the acceleration 0-60 between these two cars (stock) is relatively the same. I was wondering what would be the best performance modifications for the M3 for the least amount of money. About how much horsepower and torque do I need to get the 0-60 acceleration to around 6.0-6.3 seconds? Also how reliable are these cars with these modifications?
: Thank you,
