try a new preasure cap.if the the seal has perished the system preasure will be to low so the boiling point of water lowers hence it overheats.sounds

: : i have an 87 M3 with s14 engine and the car has overheating problems so i took it to the dealer and still after all the diagnosis and new parts no difference. the car has new radiator, water punp ok, thermostat ok, head gasket ok, high speed fan ok, clutch fan ok. so why is it still overheating after high speed coming to a stop or traffic jams. anyone can help.

: Have you checked for an airlock?.
: Stevie.
