Hi,
I currently drive a '95 M3 Lux with autobox (it's mega under city driving conditions). I have undertaking one drivers' school so far (Carolinas Motorsports Park, Kershaw, SC), and I have two coming up (Road Atlanta and Virginia International Raceway -- hopefully). The E36 M3, even with the auto tranny, performs brilliantly on the track, but as my primary roadcar, it's a bit of a risk.
I'm certainly not "racecar worthy" yet, but as I develop my race driving skills further, I want to think about getting a dedicated track car. Anyone out there with an E30 M3 dedicated for the track? What are the positives/negatives? My other thought, would be a similar vintage 325is coupe and have it "race-prepped". Either way, I guess substantial mods would be necessary.
Thanks in advance,
Patrick
