: Help!! I'm having some weird brake problems with my recently aquired e30 M3. First, the brake pedel is way too long. The pedel drops below the gas pedal making heal and toe shifting impossible. Second, the steering wheel shakes really bad under hard braking, but only when the brakes are really hot. ie. The 1st and 2nd 100+ mph stops feel perfect, but after that they start to fade bad and feel warped.
: The rotors are nearly new. The previous owner (a close friend) replaced the rotors less than 10k miles ago. The previous ones were warped. Since I bought the car, I have installed SS brake lines, and I rebuilt all of the calipers. I have measured the runout on the front rotors, and hubs. Everything is well within spec. So now I am stuck. I have two major problems, and I can't decide what to try next. Any ideas? The track season is aproaching fast, and I need to get the car prepared.

: Thanks.

How about getting new brake pads. Didn't hear you mention them but the old ones might be causing your pedal travel problem. More than once I've heard that getting new pads solves the long travel issue as well as getting a good pressure bleed.
