: : I know this topic has been talked to death, however I can't seem to fix it. I have replaced all the bushing, and gone through a couple shift nobs. currently I have a MOMO, I screw the thing down REAL tight (so much that there are grooves from the little screws on the shift lever). After a couple of days though, the thing starts vibrating again, what should I do?

: : also, are the M3 and M coupe shift levers compadible? if so, this would lower the heigth of the nob. My local dealer told me to try it out, but I thing he was just trying to sell me something.
: : TIA

: Eric, I know this may sound stupid but I had the same problem with my shifter untill a friend of mine (thanks Derin) suggested I glue the gearknob to the actual shifter. I did and the problems gone away, I used a two part epoxy and just placed it inside the gearknob then pushed the knob back on again and hey presto no vibes!
: Stevie.
