In the UK we are talking about 1500 UK pounds or more to have the timing chain replaced. The sprockets also need doing at the same time, and many spend spend more money to get some maintenance work done on the engine too(whilst the engine is out).

I would expect it to cost a minimum of $2000. If u are interested in the car still, make sure the price of the car takes this into account.
