You know, I have been debating purchasing either an E30 or an E36. I've decided on the E30 for several reasons:

.) The car just plain looks the best.
.) The 4cyl engine is much more 'racey', less refined, noisy, and more durable. I don't even care if it is as fast - it's more fun.
.) I'm not very impressed by the number of people over reving the E36 6cyl cars. I don't care whose fault it is - i just don't want to go there.
.) Cost. The E30 will probably be cheaper up front but will cost more to maintain. Is this true?
.) Parts. Plenty out there, it seems.
.) Resale. The E30 seems to be doing *really* good for resale value right now. A better 'investment' - dare i call it that.
.) Fun factor. Many people have told me the E30 is more of a pure-bred and a lot more fun, even if it is not as quick.
