: Well I noticed a few days ago that someone keyed my car. I now have a scratch thats about 3 feet long across the very back of my front fender and all the way along my drivers side door. Needless to say I'm not too pleased and kind of puzzled as to why someone would do this, but I guess sh*t happens. So the question is is there anything that I can get this scratch out with (its not all the way down to the metal), like that miracle goo that you see on TV late at night or am I off to the body shop?

You can try to wet sand it (lightly) with 1500 grit & then move up to 2000 grit. Good rule to go by (most of the time): IF when you run your fingernail across it & it DOES NOT JUMP- it can be wet sanded out. Stop by an auto body shop & see if they can pull it out. You will need to jump on it w/ the buffer (cutting compound, glaze & wax). You have to BECAREFUL NOT to burn through when wet sanding & buffing the area.. Otherwise, it's time to paint or touch up.....
