Anthony-
I've been researching high-flow exhaust systems for my '85 635. I looked into the Dynomax "Super Cat" which a local muffler shop had recommended; on paper, it's quite tempting. However, after talking with some of the better-known tuners (Dinan, Korman, etc.) the concensus seems to be that it's hard to beat the factory catalytic converters in terms of both quality and flow. My impression is that with cats (as with a lot of other things) you pretty much get what you pay for. I'd go with one that comes close to matching the factory quality even if it costs more. Just my opinion; I hope this helps.
