Ditto on the cat removal. I was at a drivers school this past weekend with my 88 M3(chip, free flow muffler) and traded cars with a guy who had a chip and a lot more performance goodies in the motor than me. His car was like driving a Yugo in comparison. He couldn't beleive the difference and told me he had heard removing the cat really screwed things up but he bought the car that way. There was also a stock 88 there that blew this guys doors off. You might want to look a little further before doing the deed

: I need a new O2 sensor but I am going to remove the cat converter and install a straight pipe. Do I still have to install a new O2 sensor once I get the straight pipe or will it be pointless
