You know reading Ritter's post made me think. Now I know most M drivers (M6 and E30 M3 drivers especially) love their cars almost more than anything and they bought them for a purpose other than looking good. But does driving a Motorsport car make someone think differently? Let me make an example- my friend recently purchased a Saleen S281. It is a really nice car, powerful, good handling, but to be honest I am not really impressed by it. I would never trade my car for it. Not only that, but its pedigree is not up to the E30 M3s- the most successful car in BMW's racing history. It seems like driving an M car has spoiled me. Every car I drive is judged against my 89 M3. Rarely do I find a car better than the one I own. This is normal right? My other friend has a 96 M3. This is a damn nice car too, but not as good as the E30 in the fun-to-drive factor. Anyway I was just wondering what other people thought about the Motorsport experience.
