Sorry it looks like I may have been wrong. There was weeks worth of discution on the E30 M3 sig about the differences between the two engines, but I just talked to a guy that ran the vins on one and it came up as an "Evo II Cecotto".

: : : : u have to have an o2 sensor because that helps the computer to mix the air and fuel, and unless u have a 2.5 liter engine i would not remove the cat because the car will slow down. i did it once and my car ran like shit.

: : : I have recently removed the cat from my car and it now runs noticably better and picks up from lower revs alot better and my car has the 2.3 evo 2 engine which came as standard with the cat, it may be different with the standard engine but I doubt it. Anybody here removed the cat from the standard 195bhp engine?
