Actually its an '88, but theres not too much difference. On a similar (and hysterical) note, someone in an Expedition seemed to really want to race me as I was sitting at a stoplight. Just another person who has no idea what an E30 M3 is, the person probably thought that it had some wild body kit on it as most people do. I get a lot of confused looks from people when I'm driving through the little down town area where I live, oh well. On the topic of the RS4: Turbos are a wonderful thing, I wouldn't mind having one (or two), but what is the point in bragging about beating a car which you have more than twice the horse power than? Also, why don't you try doing your racing on the track? I'll push my car on back roads where there are nothing but big fields on either side of me and there is no one around and I have good visibility around corners, but drag racing with station wagons (or SUVs) at stop lights isn't exactly my thing. I love the look of our ugly little boxy cars. I just spent about 5 hours yesterday cleaning mine and its never looked better. I must say, this thing is beautiful!! Yes our cars are much more raw than more modern cars, the thing isn't so god damned computerized that it is impossible to work on, has poor throttle response, drives itself more than you drive it etc... but I really love having a car that will shoot fire out the tail pipe, it really makes cleaning the rear bumper a bitch though. I have some of these same complaints about the E36 M3, they are great street cars, but very little out there has the race bread heritage of the E30 M3. I love my M3, I wouldn't want anything else, I could have had an E36 M3, or an M coupe, or numerous other things, but I chose the E30 M3, and I have no regrets, I would have to loose my mind in order to ever get rid of this thing (and if I ever do go crazy, my father says he is first in line, second is probably the friend of mine that took all of the pictures of my car that are on Derin's site, he just starts drooling every time he sees my car). I'm rambling, but I have to say, I like Audis, my only complaint, is the fact that most of them have 2 too many doors for my taste. I'd like to see the A3 and S3 come to the states, that looks like more of my kind of car, or the TT with the V8 that is going to be in the new DTM series... I want one of those. The thought of getting an old Quattro crossed my mind, but they are even harder to find than M3s, and they are a little slow for my taste, I'm sure that that could be fixed as it can with any car, and I'm sure that the handling in no way can compare, very few cars can. In reality nothing I have driven, and I've driven my share of nice cars, compares to the M3. Ok I'm done for now, waiting to be flamed...

Brian '88 Dina(n) M3 (Steven's explanation: "The badge from the $80,000 Dinan M3 prototype that couldn't withstand the extreme performance levels and broke the "N" off!!")

: His 300hp 90 M3 will demolish your 400hp RS4...I am willing to bet on that
