: The paint on my valve cover just started to peel.....I am thinking of stripping it and just leave the alumnum. Has anyone repainted there engine and what paint did you use...just in case I decide to repaint it

I repainted mine over a year ago with plain high-temp engine paint that said it had some ceramic in it. It is not wrinkle finish, but the aluminum is somewhat rough and it looks good. It matches the air plenum better now. It looks as good today as it did when I painted it. I sanded the paint off of the letters and fins on the cover and painted those with a clear from Eastwood. They still look great too, No yellowing!!
