Stock e30 m3: 162hp and 140.5ft-lbs
Dinan chip,cam gear: 167.2hp and 151.0ft-lbs
DSR MAF: 170.8hp and 151.6ft-lbs
evo II: 171.1hp and 142.3ft-lbs
2.5L: 198.2 hp and 164.4ft-lbs
and for comparison a e36 m3 on the same dyno was 207hp and 199.7ft-lbs. Moral of the story 2.5 is the way to go. not quite up to par with e36 m3 but it will be quick b/c of less curb weight.
: What is the most rear wheel HP a 2.3L normally aspirated M3 can lay down? Is it possible to get close to 200RWHP with bolt-ons such as header, exhaust, cams, chip, etc?
: I guess the real goal would be to make a 2.3L E30 M3 as fast as an E36 M3 in a straight line. The E36 has a power to weight ratio of ~13:1 and the E30 is ~15.5:1, although the E36 also wins in torque. The E30 would need to make about 235HP to meet my goal.
: Thanks
