: : Hey, currently swapping a '87 325is drivetrain into an '85 318i body. Tach from 318 says "4/6 cyl" on a small sticker on the back. Anyone know if mods must be done to make it read correctly for different engine? Only adjustment I can see is a small potentiometer screw, izzat it? what do I do with it? Or??? Thanks!

: Use a 325i instrument cluster. 318 and 325i have totally different coded engine-plugs.

Thanks, Barry. No response on the proper E30 msg. board, but I accidentally post it here, and I get help! I'll try to get my hands on the 6cyl. cluster.
