Frank: The core wiring systems are identical of M3 as same year E30. Some lighting end and connectors are different (ie side marker lights, fogs,etc.) Radio antenna is of course different. You should be able to match up part numbers with everything else. Yes even the fuse box cover is the same. Several engine related electricals are different, O2 sensor,rotor,cap, etc. all different. BMW does make a M3 electrical trouble shooting guide which might help you as well. Good luck.: i have an 89 m3 with some wiring troubles-i was wondering if another 3 series bmw(not m3) wiring is the same. i figure rather than sort out the mess that i have i could just replace them and i cant find anyone that is parting out thier fusebox and wires.
