: Your Flywheel is fine. Sounds normal. the springs you are referring to are for dampening. BMW put the springs inside the flywheel on the e36 (and E30/e28 eta) for added dampening. So if your car is shifting fine and no problems when driving it is fine.
: Now the problem with that flywheel is it is very heavy. if you knew about this before you did the clutch, you could have gotten a lighter flywheel and different clucth assembly to match. But thats up to you and i couldn't tell you which one to use since i don't e36's. but to me your flywheel sounds fine.
