About everything else has been checked (believe me), and I am wondering if a prior owner blew the DME and substituted a box/board from another model BMW to save money over an ///M part, especially if he was about to sell it. It would NOT be unusual for other DME programming to start reducing the fuel above 5000 rpm as taht is approaching redline on most other models.
Could someone tell me what the proper DME box part number is for this model/year?
Also, will other car model DME computers actually RUN an ///M motor?
